Vitafoods Asia 2012

Hong Kong is fast becoming the health food trading centre for Asia, with Vitafoods electing to stage its annual nutraceutical ingredients and supplements exhibition in the city. Following its successful inaugural event at the AsiaWorld-Expo in 2011, Vitafoods Asia has shown continued strong growth in both exhibitors and international buyers trading ingredients and raw materials for dietary supplements and functional foods and drinks.

The event organiser Informa Exhibitions cited the city’s accessibility, efficient infrastructure, business friendliness and most importantly its proximity to Mainland China for its success. Feedback from exhibitors were also positive as the show feels like a European edition because of the number of global exhibitors attending.

AsiaWorld-Expo’s versatile exhibition space and proximity to the airport, coupled with its quick and easy travelling times to Hong Kong’s city centre, make it an ultra-convenient venue for visitors who might participate in the show for just a day or two before heading back home or to the central business district for further meetings or leisure.

“We returned to Hong Kong to build on the previous year’s success because of the city’s accessibility, efficient infrastructure, business friendliness and most importantly its proximity to Mainland China. We now plan to make it an annual event in Hong Kong”

Mr. Chris Lee Portfolio Director of Informa Exhibitions, the organiser for Vitafoods Asia

“We have received many new contacts for customers and distributors from visitors in countries such as Indonesia and Singapore. The quality of the visitors was what we were looking for.”

Mr Igancio Cartagena Sales and Marketing Manager of Monteloeder in Alicante

“We are very excited to be here for the second year... China is a growing market, as we all know, and there are also many other markets growing rapidly in Asia-Pacific. From a geographical point of view, Hong Kong is the centre of the action.”
