Airport Express: Departing every seven minutes, it takes just 24 minutes for the high-speed Airport Express to reach Hong Kong Island from the airport. From there visitors can catch free shuttle buses from Hong Kong or Kowloon Airport Express stations to the city’s major hotels. When returning home, visitors and delegates can check-in to most major airlines at the Hong Kong Airport Express station, bringing ease and convenience to your event right through to its closing step.
MTR: Hong Kong’s world-renowned Mass Transit Railway (MTR) system covers all of Hong Kong’s major districts across eleven rail lines, allowing your event participants to stay fresh and energised as they hop around the well-connected city in comfort.
Taxi: While Hong Kong’s MTR system runs like clockwork, those needing to get from point to point quickly can simply hail one of the city’s plentiful taxis, which are air-conditioned, clean, and easily distinguished by their red colour.
Buses and minibuses: Hong Kong provides plenty of air-conditioned buses and mini-buses that cover almost every corner of the city. Double-deckers win additional points for their spectacular views from the top floor, and minibuses offer the advantage of being able to get on and off anywhere along the route, except where special prohibitions apply.
Ferries: No matter how well-travelled your visitors and delegates, a trip across Hong Kong’s world-famous harbour will leave a lasting impression. The city’s numerous ferry routes connect Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the Outlying Islands with incredible views.
Trams: Hong Kong’s colourful sights and sounds will bring a difference to your event, and there’s no better way to get a glimpse of old Hong Kong than aboard one of the city’s charming trams, affectionately nicknamed ‘Ding Dings’ for the sound they make to alert passers-by. They have been navigating Hong Kong’s most lively areas since 1904 and named the “Largest double-decker tram fleet in service” (Hong Kong, 2021) by the Guinness World Records ™.
The Peak Tram: The perfect place to unwind and celebrate with a glass of wine after an engrossing business event is atop Hong Kong’s most spectacular destination – The Peak. The quickest and most thrilling way to reach the stunning vista, which offers a multitude of shops and eateries, is the Peak Tram – the world’s steepest funicular railway.
Octopus Card: Hong Kong’s business event solutions are superior on every level – down to removing the frustrating need to fumble for foreign currency when navigating international transport. Each of Hong Kong’s transport services can be paid for with a single Octopus card – a stored-value electronic card that can be used and topped up at convenience stores, supermarkets, fast food shops, vending machines, and more. Octopus cards are available at all MTR Stations.
