Event Highlights

Relive the dazzling evening of celebrations, networking, music and gourmet

Over 60 leaders and professionals from across 12 sectors convened to celebrate the joint endeavours of bringing in 70 conventions that attract 70,000 high-yield visitors to Hong Kong.

The event included a panel discussion under the theme “Driving success together, as one” featuring HKTB Chairman Pang Yiu-Kai and three industry leaders who brought in some significant world congresses to Hong Kong, to share success stories and tips. Kenneth Wong, General Manager of the MICE & Cruise division, and his team also shared "end-to-end support" of MEHK. The event wrapped with a delightful harp ensemble by the Hong Kong Harp Association, the organser of past World Harp Congress.

New Industry Mission Support Funding Programme was also launched on that very night. Read on to learn more about the eligibility requirements.

Industry Mission Funding Support Programme

The Hong Kong Tourism Board has launched a new funding programme to encourage Convention Ambassadors to invite international and mainland counterparts to visit Hong Kong and pave the way for bidding for future global conventions.

Eligibility and Usage at-a-glance

Application period:

1 May 2024 to
31 December 2024*

Eligible visit period:

15 May 2024 to
31 March 2025*
(Maximum 2 visits per each applicant)

Eligibility:

With a qualified potential
lead of 400+ attendees
Track record of hosting
international conferences

Funding usage:

• Cross-border transportation
• Accommodation
• Meeting package

*Both Days Inclusive
