In 2024, Hong Kong maintains its appeal as the destination of choice of global business events. With ongoing event bidding and facilitation by the HKTB and partners, the city sees a strong line-up of large-scale international MICE events slated for between 2024 and 2026, many of these are first-time events in Hong Kong and the region.
Building on the momentum of the first half of 2024, the HKTB continues to put Hong Kong under the spotlight by outreaching globally and showcasing locally. During June to August, the HKTB participated in over 10 trade shows and activities, engaging more than 2,000 industry players from eight markets including Australia/New Zealand, India, Indonesia, Mainland China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and the United States.
The HKTB led the largest-ever delegation to IT&CM Asia in September, and joined forces with trade partners to attend IMEX America in October, as well as IBTM World and UFI Global Congress in November to showcase how Hong Kong’s new advantages and excitement are ideal for creating outstanding business events.
