Historic Hiking: Tai Tam to Quarry Bay
Reconnect with history through the ruins of pillboxes and bunkers from World War II along a moderate 8km walk along Tai Tam Country Park, just a 15-minute coach ride from the city centre. The most famous spot along the trail is the Tai Tam group of reservoirs, which are declared monuments.
The calm blue-green waters framed by century-old stone dams and arched bridges are more or less the designated backdrop for a group photo at the end of the hike. A lush forest trail leads up to Quarry Gap and down the other side to the Wilson Trail that leads downhill back to Quarry Bay, where there is an international dining scene on Tong Chong Street awaiting to treat your group for a job well done!
