aqua luna I & II

Possibly the last hand-crafted wooden junk to be made in Hong Kong, the aqualuna represents the higher end of charter possibilities. With its rich history, lush Chinese-inspired furnishings and detailed wooden flourishes, there are few better ways to welcome VIPs to the city. The 140-squaremetre space is divided into two decks: a covered space with glass windows downstairs, and an open-air deck with loungers upstairs.

Its newly launched counterpart, Aqua Luna II, is a traditional Chinese junk decorated with a blue and white dragon, a style often found on Ming-dynasty porcelain. The 29-metre-long boat can accommodate up to 80 guests on its two decks, making it ideal for corporate events. The vessel is the younger but larger brother to the iconic red-sailed junk Aqua Luna, which was launched a decade ago.

Flexibility is the key to this junk’s appeal; large groups can charter the entire boat for day trips to the scenic Aberdeen Harbour or seaside village of Stanley, while smaller groups can take part in one of the regular, scheduled journeys. The junk has a full bar and cocktail lounge, making it a perfect partner for exclusive private cruises and buffet dinners catered for by the highly regarded Aqua Restaurant Group.
