HKTB Takes Hong Kong Asian Financial Forum Guests Out of the Forum Hall to Experience Hong Kong’s Nighttime Metropolitan Appeal on Land and in the Harbour
The 17th Asian Financial Forum is being held in Hong Kong for two consecutive days with more than 3,000 elite political and commercial participants attending the event. The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) took this opportunity to host around 100 forum guests on in-depth scenic tours on land and in the harbour. The guests rode on the Chinese junk Aqua Luna, nostalgic tram and open-top bus and explored Victoria Harbour and attractions across the city, allowing them to get a taste of the city’s rich offerings and nighttime metropolitan appeal beyond the conference halls, while promoting Hong Kong’s unique tourism appeal.
Arranged by the HKTB on 24 January 2024, the tour took the guests across the world-famous Victoria Harbour on the traditional Chinese junk Aqua Luna for a harbour cruise. The finance moguls immersed themselves in the beautiful skyline of Hong Kong and admired the Victoria Harbour night view as they sipped wine on board.
The guests also travelled through the bustling streets of Hong Kong on the TramOramic Tour, riding on a nostalgic 1920s-style tram, taking in the one-of-a-kind nighttime ambience of Hong Kong while learning about the historical and cultural heritage of the city.
One of the guests who is visiting Hong Kong for the first time expressed that she was happy to be in town to experience the unique culture on the tram, and she fell in love with Hong Kong. Another guest who joined the Aqua Luna Harbour Cruise also praised the uniqueness and beautiful skyline of Hong Kong, saying that it was worth to make the trip. On 25 January evening, another group of guests will explore Hong Kong’s stunning cityscape on The Big Bus Tour in an open-top sightseeing bus, experiencing night-time Hong Kong in a different mode.
The HKTB also gave away 300 Hong Kong Palace Museum one-day admission tickets and 200 quotas of privileged access to Plaza Premium Lounge at the Hong Kong International Airport to the forum guests. The HKTB hopes the offerings and evening activities will enrich the forum guests’ itinerary in Hong Kong and impress them with memorable times, while showcasing Hong Kong’s metropolitan energy and vibrancy to reinforce the city’s status as a premier international destination and attract more visitors from around the world.
