The 39th Hong Kong International Jewellery Show and the 9th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), were the first major trade fairs to resume after the pandemic. They were held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 1 March to 5 March 2023.

The five-day fairs attracted more than 2,500 exhibitors and 60,000 buyers from 130 countries and regions, with significant increase in participation from Mainland China and the Asia region, indicating strong pent-up demand for trade fairs. 

A total of 20 pavilions were set up – including those from the mainland, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, India, Turkiye, Israel, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia and the United States.
