Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) 2023

The world's largest jewellery show, Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW), made a triumphant return to its home turf in 2023. As Hong Kong's premier event in the fine jewellery industry, it is also recognised as the number one platform for showcasing exquisite jewellery.

The 2023 edition sparkled with great success, attracting 3,417 exhibitors from 44 countries and regions mingling with 53,879 buyers from 142 countries and regions, which is on par with the 2018 high to crown 40 years of glory. Some Asian markets like Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines turned out in full force.

The event’s organiser Informa Markets firmly believed that Hong Kong ’s enduring appeal as the gateway to both mainland China and the rest of the world was instrumental for “solidifying the event as the ultimate destination for global jewellery sourcing”. The city's vibrant marketplace provided ample opportunities for conducting business and sourcing high-quality jewellery. Furthermore, Hong Kong's strategic location, business-friendly environment, robust infrastructure all contributed to its suitability as the host destination for this prestigious event.

This year’s event held on 18-22 September reverted to its original dual-venue format, making use of both world-class venues – AsiaWorld-Expo and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, each designated for specific product categories.

Hong Kong is the central place in Asia. It is in close proximity with Mainland China, which is a fabulous market. The connectivity and accessibility make the city such a vibrant place. Hong Kong is a tax-free destination for jewellery while having state-of-the-art venues and facilities. I would not see this show happening with such a success anywhere else in the world.
