Ahoy! MEHK Hosted First MICE Trade Updates cum Cruise Visit in 2019
As 2019 cruises along, Meetings and Exhibitions Hong Kong (MEHK) held the first MICE trade briefing cum cruise visit at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal on 25 January 2019, with over 40 trade partners and cruise lines invited to put the city’s latest products and offerings on their radar and set sail with “MICE on Cruise” meeting potential.
The MEHK team kicked off the briefing with a thorough presentation on the latest MICE experiences, new hotels and attractions and new MICE ideas, including cruises, highlighting the notion that there are always fresh and exciting concepts for trade partners to promote Hong Kong as an ideal destination with a range of events and experiences.
With Hong Kong being Asia’s cruise hub, the city has an impressive number of ships embarking from the ports as well as year-round and seasonal homeport deployments from major cruise lines.
It is an honour to have top management from two major cruise lines – Genting Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean International Hong Kong sharing the latest updates on their vessels including MICE-friendly event venues, abundant team building activities, dining outlets and accommodations offered under one roof, perfect for a hassle-free incentive trip.
Attendees were then brought on a guided tour to World Dream, Asia's newest luxury cruise ship operating all-year round with calls at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal - one of the city’s unique MICE venues built on the fabled runway of the former airport.
