Hong Kong Olympic Trail
Hike ancient trail over mountain
Let your MICE delegates enjoy the natural beauty of Lantau by taking a hike through some of the most stunning scenery and vistas to be found anywhere. The ancient 5.6-kilometre trail linking Pak Mong Village and Mui Wo on the south coast, renamed the Olympic Trail in honour of Hong Kong’s hosting of the equestrian events of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, climbs over the mountains and passes through a number of tiny, centuries-old villages. Hikers can pause at a tree planting site near Pak Mong village named the Olympic Green. A number of buildings in Pak Mong itself have been declared monuments. The trail later passes an abandoned silver mine and a spectacular waterfall.
